Apple Blossom Time

We had to put the sheets on at the airbnb owned by the brother in law.  A new guest was arriving and it turned out to be a lady forester from Rotorua. She is down here to present health and safety workshops for the local workers.  My forester didn't know her but they had a chat about a subject he does know a lot about.  I had a play in the next door apple orchard.  The owner told me in another week the trees will be smothered  in blossom.  It has been a cold start to spring for his trees.
This morning some fish got delivered around the neighbour's  and in return I got a small kowhai tree that had sprung up from seed, a large hellebore and some white lillies to transplant into the garden.
Some surprises in the election last night with a few seats changing to another party.  Under our system the party with the most seats still can't form a Government and will need to make a deal with the minor parties.  A good thing is there was a big turn out of voters.
