The old cartshed

What a great day for the start of New Zealand Summer Time!
Being incredibly mild, it was a glorious morning to head up the hill with my neighbours' dogs, in lieu of their owners taking them for a breakfast jaunt thanks to an overnight trip.

Their property, a few hundred metres up the road from us, comprises a few hundred acres of hill country. It was one of the earlier properties in the valley, and so has plenty of old outbuildings nestled amongst the native bush clad gullies.

This old cart shed is a great example - it's weathered rimu framing and corrugated iron testament to the passing of time and exposure to the elements.
