Darkest Dorset...

A bit of a misty start but the day brightened up and like yesterday this afternoon was lovely.  Today in search of adventure we went to a tiny village West Milton to explore one of the many Hollow Lanes that criss-cross Dorset. This one is ancient, possibly going back to Anglo-Saxon days and quite thrilling to walk through.

This afternoon, after a very nice lunch in The Acorn, Evershot we made our way to Lyme Regis and the low tide to have a look for the fossils on the beach. The extra is of one rock weathering on the beach and packed with ammonites... There is a part of the beach no bigger than a cricket square that is packed with fossils, some of amazing size all being scoured away by the tides.
