Spiders!

Ok, there isn't a spider in this photo. Not one that I can see anyway. But this is the season of spiders' webs everywhere - gleaming on hedges and strung across paths so that the journey to the garden gate drapes your hair in strands and leaves you anxiously feeling for spiders down your neck.

It's also the time when gigantic creatures appear in the bath - those monsters whose feet you can hear as they scurry.

All very alarming to your average arachnophobe...
