Tapeley House Visit

A very grey day - but I had a ticket to go around Tapeley House. Terrifo and self had gone early in the hope of enjoying a wander round the gardens but the inclement weather continued so we ended up in the cafe! We had a delicious soup - all home grown produce  and then later enjoyed an extremely interesting 'tour' of a few of the rooms of the house with Hector Christie, the current 'custodian' as he calls himself.  Some most delightful William Morris furniture, lovely porcelain, some magnificent portraits etc were on display.  The ceilings were fabulous too with ornate plasterwork.  A great afternoon..... and I saw a huge pumpkin!  The winner of the guess my weight gets two tickets to the house for next year!
Autumn is coming as the colours here in show.
