Today's the day ............................ for the pick of the crop

On the day when Mrs Cabbagetree blips a beautiful shot of apple blossom in New Zealand - I bring you what is practically our entire crop of apples.

It's only a little tree - so it actually has done very well. Much better than the plum tree, cherry tree and two damson trees, that have got absolutely no fruit on them whatsoever.

Ah well - you get years like that, don't you? It must have been all that rain and no sun. Let's hope next year will be better ...............................
