Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Lovely Edinbrugh

Hard to believe this sunny blue sky day here .... how could I not blip the view from the castle over the new town and Leith...To record the weather now as it looks like storms are coming. I'm ready to be out of the city although it was a fine day.... a walk up the royal mile with a local guide, lots of diversions and ending at the national museum. What a treat that is! .. loved both the old and the new buildings ..have wanted to blip these wonderful Norse ivory chessmen, carved in the 12th C and found on the island of Lewis 700 years later, but also the spectacular day. Really appreciated being on our own from there ..to wander the museum, ( Its enormous ..has a T. rex skeleton, great animals and industry, and all sorts of good art and design ( incl. our island neighbor Dante Marioni glass)as well as the story of Scotland...PLUS 2 more Andy Goldsworthy works!!) have lunch in the balcony cafe, a short stop at the portrait gallery for drink and cards, , and manage a much needed nap before finding an excellent Italian restaurant in our neighborhood. Will see the group early tomorrow as we get on the bus and head out. Stay tuned.

I'm sorry literally all I'm capable of doing is posting the blip.....
