Rocky Mountain Moments

Nuthatches

It has been wet and dreary and much cooler since we got home from the mountains last week and our birdfeeders have been very busy!  My main blip is a Red-breasted Nuthatch and my extra is a White-breasted.  The reds have always been regulars but I haven't seen a white at our feeders in several years.  I noticed one around the past few days and today there were two.  I'm hoping that they are here to spend the winter with us and not just passing through.  The whites have been harder to capture and this was my best shot.  Still hoping for more chances.  Both shots are through my living room window.  I can't wait for some dry weather so I can get outside with my camera again!
