Katherine Parr's Tomb

We visited Sudeley Castle today -- a fascinating place absolutely bursting with history.  One of its most famous residents was Katherine Parr -- the sixth wife of Henry VIII, who married Thomas Seymour after the king's death.  She died at the castle shortly after giving birth to her daughter Mary, and her tomb is in St. Mary's Church in the castle grounds.  She is the only British queen to be buried at a private house.

We're off soon to have dinner with my cousin and her youngest daughter -- I'm looking forward to an all too rare family reunion!
