Sunshine and (very heavy) showers

Coming back from chairing a landowners and farmers meeting in Kilmartin Glen Marie Claire and I were caught in the most extraordinary cloudburst between Lochgilphead and Minard.

She was driving and at one stage had to slow down almost to walking speed given the deterioration in visibility and the sheer weight of water hitting the car and the road.

Yet over Loch Fyne the sky was still blue.
