Lost in Thought

Art for Art's sake

Upton House is a local National Trust property which was owned by Lord Bearstead (Shell Oil) in the 1930s and housed his extensive art collection.  We went there today to see the now watertight mirror lake which is slowly refilling after repairs to the liner.  I can imagine it will take many months to return to it's previous state but it is good to see it on the way.

In the extra - one of Gill's paintings which is going into an exhibition organised by the local art group, probably not to his lordship's taste but I quite like it, and, it is based on photographs I took at Slimbridge a few years ago.
