Welcome to Oban!

We had a second afternoon pulling Himalayan balsam today - this time it was just me and my fellow committee member Jake. Disappointing, but we got through quite a lot and spoke to several pleasant people. Most people look away for some reason.

Doing this sort of work is fine, but when it includes picking up so much rubbish too it's a little disheartening. There was rubbish there that wasn't there when we left yesterday afternoon. It's all too easy to see only the weeds and rubbish which most people appear to be unaware of, or maybe just filter out. 

This Blip is about one of those bad things - a broken, roofless and vandalised map of Oban standing at the edge of the car park. All I can say is 'Have a nice day, visitor!'
