Autumn - The season for fungi!

Driving home from visiting my Mum I spied these perfect Fly agarics Amanita muscaria, poking through the leaves under a Birch tree.
Needless to say I grabbed my phone and shot out of the car to get some shots - it was then that I realized they were just too good for a phone shot, so I rushed home, grabbed my camera and coat.....and the rest is history!
Laying on my coat in the soaking grass in persistent drizzle I did begin to question my sanity! but wildlife photographers will do anything for the shot - right?
I have also added a shot of what I think is a Violet bonnet, just after a huge slug slithered right over it! if only I had been 2 minutes earlier!
