MM193 Entrance - The Cedar Court Hotel

This is the rather grand entrance to the Cedar Court Hotel, just around the corner from us.

The hotel has quite a long and chequered history. It sits on the site of Harrogate's very first hotel, the Queen's Head.
In WW2 it was used by the Ministry, and subsequently sold in 1950 to Leeds Regional Health Authority. In 1987, in a poor condition, part of the building was dismantled and the principle facades re-erected at great cost. In 1998 the health authority sold the buildings and it was reopened as the Cedar Court Hotel in 1999.
