Movement and light

... was in abundance at the Light Night Leeds festival.
This is an annual arts and light festival which takes place in the city centre.
There were spectacular projections on buildings, interactive installations such as talking lampposts(!), exhibitions and lots of dance, music, colour and fun!
This main shot was from the carnival parade which made its way around the centre. I think it captures the movement, colour and fun of the event.
In one of the extras is the spectacular projection against the front of the Civic Hall which started off with a tale of Leeds' industrial past.
I wasn't sure what to expect, but was impressed at the numbers of people there having such a good time.

There are some more (rather blurry) photos and videos here.
