Then and Now - St Bartholomew

Saturday's walking tour finally gave me the motivation to take my camera with me and try a 'then and now' shot at lunchtime. Before I went travelling there was scaffolding over these buildings so I couldn't take this comparison shot before. This is the entrance to St Bartholomew's church, near Smithfield.

The shot on the left was taken by my Grandfather sometime between 1929 and 1934. The building on the right has changed a bit, there's now a huge tree but it's mostly the same. I like that there's a truck in almost the same spot.
