Brass in Pocket

Not the best shot, but it captures the event. We went to see The Pretenders at the Usher Hall, four years to the day from seeing FM at the Hydro. A good gig, even if it couldn't quite live up to the Hydro gig - a different scale really. Chrissie introduced Stop Your Sobbing as a tribute to Tom Petty. She also praised Morrissey, which had an awkward tumbleweed reaction from the Edinburgh audience. So awkward perhaps that Chrissie felt the need after the song to try and defend him as doing more good than harm. Fair to say it didn't feel like the room was convinced. The band did many of the greatest hits and got people up on their feet to dance along, finishing the night with Brass in Pocket.
