Dahlia Garden

I've been having lower back pain so I'm trying to avoid using my heavy long lenses this week.  Not an easy task.  The only way I can resist those bird shots is to leave the big lens at home.  So I returned to the dahlia gardens.  I arrived early, after dropping Leo off for his grooming appointment.  The petals were covered with dew.  I've been trying to get a shot with flowers in the background so I used a wider aperture this time.  The dew drops outline the petals.  I'm glad these spectacular colors will be around until frost arrives.
