The long haul home

An uneventful and fast flight home from San Diego, 8 hours 50 minutes instead of 10 hours 20, must have been a very strong tailwind. Landed at 13.50 instead of 15.20, the M25 was kind (sort of) and we were in the door by 16.00.

Challenging day for blipping; we had centre seats, saw nothing, may have been sitting in a simulator for all we knew. Went to look through one of the galley windows a few times but saw only cloud, blue sky and wing.

The journey was much further south than I expected, well south of Iceland, came in between Scotland and Northern Ireland, over Galloway and the Lakes.

Today's blip is of the start of the flight, with still a long way to go. Chris and DeShaun live mid way between Oceanside and Escondido.

Pleased to be home, sad to have left. All seems to be well here. Still some tomatoes left. Pleased and relieved that there were no problems at all on the trip and that everything worked as planned.

Thank you all for following the journal and for your comments and stars and hearts. Glad to have you all with us.

Now, what's next?
