The Bruce

The restored statue of Robert the Bruce at the Battle of Bannockburn heritage site. It's not at all a peaceable statue with The Bruce wielding an axe and all its connotations of war, conquest and strife. On the other hand it is well located for lovely views over Stirling and it's a great place for dog walkers as well as tourists and visitors from all over the world. It's been a beautiful autumn morning though there's a bit more cloud now. I've had an unusally quiet day (hope I'm not speaking too soon ...) so I've been able to catch up with myself a little. My task for this afternoon is to locate the grey wheelie bin which seems to have gone awol.
