On the coast

Off very early to fly to Southampton. It was a beautiful day, very clear and I had a window seat. After landing took train to Portsmouth Harbour for lunch and a visit to the 'Women at Sea' exhibition (mum was in the WRNS). Then up the Spinnaker. Brilliant view of HMS Queen Elizabeth and the Isle of Wight.

Got the train back to Netley and nearly feel asleep. Then it was an evening of drink, food, 60's themed clothes and a 60's quiz. The girls lost the quiz. Our questions were more difficult! 6 @ 65 (I'm an outlier) and C gave all of us presents. My hat says 'I'd rather be gardening'. Very apt. And a 1967 'Look and Learn' book.

Even although my bed is a sleeping bag on a blow up bed I was glad to get l to it
