Inverness Town Steeple on the corner of Church Street and Bridge Street, is undergoing major repairs, after being damaged in high winds in recent years. Supposedly some bits fell off a while ago (2009?), and whilst it was inspected shortly after that, it's taken a quite some time to arrange funding etc.

According to the BBC, "Built in the 1790s, the steeple required repairs in 1816 after it was twisted during an earthquake. More recently it was damaged by high winds."

Nothing much else gong on. Have a work experience pupil shadowing, and assisting me for a few days. We fixed a monitor this morning, and were covered in sticky gunge whilst locating a fault on some sort of wax melting equipment used by the beauty therapists. I've decided not to act as a victim ...er, volunteer for them to practice their hair removal treatments on...

Hopes of that old camera successfully working, continue to fade, as there's still no sign of any prints... alas.
