Cathédrale Saint-Samson de Dol

This morning we left our little hotel in Saint-Brieuc and cycled to the coast and then the wonderfully named Yffiniac to take a train to Dinan. Because of a poor connection at Dinan station we then cycled to Dol-de-Bretagne rather than waiting for the train. We'd been to Dol once over a decade ago and today was our opportunity to visit the city once again.

The main picture is from the inside of the cathedral and there is one extra from the outside. The town centre is small and very pretty but the range of dinner options was very limited and we had a very expensive and not very good meal - we're use to a lot better in Brittany. Our little B&B is nice enough so tonight we'll be able to watch TV in bed again!

The second extra picture is from the coast on our morning cycle and is a view over the bay to the oyster and muscle beds and shows the aquatic lorries they to use to get to and from them.
