Grevillea Ivanhoe

This is a hybrid grevillea between Grevillea longifolia and Grevillea caleyi. It arose in the garden of the suburb of Ivanhoe in Melbourne and was officially recognised in 1967. The flowers are described as "toothbrush like racemes up to 50mm long", being one sided it is easy to accept this description. I believe it is now used extensively in the US. All the native flowers in our village are putting on quite a show now Spring has arrived.  Plenty of incentive to pick up the camera.
Thanks to all my Blip friends who responded so positively to my Dogwood Blip. It was lovely to be on the receiving end of those stars and hearts.  Much appreciated.
