A Grand View

This is the view that greets you once you enter Trentham Gardens. Not too bad isn't it? It wasn't forecast but the weather was lovely this morning.

The lake is currently full of bird life. Over the last few years the mute swans have increased in numbers, and we do get Greylag and Canada geese in numbers too. In amongst the coots were a small family of three dab chicks. And you can tell the season has changed as the cormorants have returned to over winter on the lake. That's without the mallards and seagulls, and even a sprinkling of herons. The grebes seem to have disappeared for now.
