Purple Petunias

Despite being almost half way through October these Petunias still think it's summer and are looking wonderful.

It is humbling to see how grateful a customer is when you complete the simplest of tasks that are completely impossible for them due to the frailty caused by advancing years. I was asked to change a light bulb in a reading lamp which had blown a few days earlier meaning she was unable to read for that time. Switching the lamp back on almost brought tears of joy.

Humbling again later in the day when I realised that a spider had breached the 4ft gap between a shrub and my trailer I had placed there an hour and a half earlier. Not only had the gap been breached but a compete web had been spun in that time.

A nice evening seeing a close mate who was over from France for a few days and a great surprise when a special lady also came to visit to meet him. Friends are very important.
