Some days when I blip it's about the photo, sometimes it's more about just getting round to making a journal entry: today is definitely the latter!

This week's TT theme. set by WRPerry ,is  PINK to highlight  BCAM during October.  When my mother developed breast cancer during the 1960s, there were no scans, no mammograms, no chemotherapy, only surgery and radiotherapy in a rather less sophisticated form than today.  Sadly she did not survive, developing secondaries in several places and dying aged 47. . Fortunately, with leaps and bounds in research and treatments, more and more people do survive and one hopes that those survival rates will continue to rise.
