The mill lade, Deanston

At 1500 yards this lade, formed from the River Teith, is one of the longest in Scotland. It powered what was originally Deanston Cotton Mill and is now the Deanston Distillery. I was at the cafe of the distillery today to meet a friend for lunch. If you've ever seen the film The Angels' Share you'll know the Distillery. And today, as always, the angels' share smelled wonderful. But being lunchtime it was a pot of tea for us.

I took the dog for a muddy walk alongside the mill lade prior to lunch. The grey sky came and went - it's quite nice just now but it was pretty overcast then.

The last thing I feel like doing is yoga but it'll do me good. I hope!
