Abstract Thursday: Seasonal
The challenge set by Ingeborg for this week's Abstract Thursday challenge is Seasonal. I've taken what was a rather sad and desiccated looking black eyed Susan and played with it in AffinityPhoto to bring out the structure and pattern.
If you are interested, the recipe was broadly along the following lines:
Layer a second version of the shot over the first;
De-interlace the top layer using odd rows, then repeat using even rows;
Detect edges in the top layer;
Invert the top layer;
Blend the top layer with the base layer using hard mix.
I made it into work today, although I have to say it was rather more exhausting than I thought it was going to be. Funny how climbing a couple of flights of stairs you never normally even notice can suddenly take your breath away. Hopefully I'm on the mend finally and will find tomorrow easier.
