Pferdeschorschi

Long day for all concerned

Rosie lost her right front shoe last week (Rosie is a horse) and yet again Petra & Christian helped out as they did 4 weeks ago. This time their blacksmith was off duty, had driven 400km in the morning from Austria, had meetings in the area & was just staying with them overnight but agreed to help out. Lothar is a real specialist for problem hooves. He did a wonderful job last time & managed to put a shoe on although so much was broken away. He even used cling film! but it has worked a treat. Thenat 8:00pm, a quick beer and "Liver Cheese" with Brezn & Bavarias favourite mustard.
Was a long day for Lothar & in 8 hours he has to drive back 400km to southern Austria. For me too - had a meeting early this morning with the forester from the Bavarian State Forest as some trees near the house would make ideal firewood. He tells me that since 1st July I need a chainsaw user license to be able to work in the forest! Not expensive but another bit of bureaucracy although perhaps makes some sense as so many people now making their own firewood.
Took some nice mushroom & spiderweb photos in the early morning sunshine but they will have to wait for their Blip day.
