Wolfgang Grulke's Unique Fossil Collection

We had the privilege of visiting this private collection by the successful business man Wolfgang Grulke who was a Futurist for IBM - we only discovered that this unique collection existed a few weeks ago then coincidentally were told of an organised visit by Dorset Wildlife.
David Attenborough has visited and said that he had never seen anything like it - rare types of ammonites that are uncurled like trombones, bellemites made of opal and so on.
Grulke has written 2 books on the subject Heteromorphs by Wolfgang Grulke as well as one on Nautilus.
This collection is only just along the road at Oborne but sadly it will soon be sold to Philadelphia as The Natural History Museum claim they have no room despite the fact they do not have any equivalent examples.
the fossils in the photo took 5000 hours to prepare!!
