Tuesday: Casualty of the Storm

The storm was howling around 11pm last night, but we both managed to sleep through it.
Still windy this morning and I waited until it was light (about 7:45am) to go out to inspect  the damage. There were lots of leaves everywhere and a few pots were blown over and I thought we'd got away lightly, but spotted the old Rowan tree flat on the ground, it had died 3 years ago and MrD will cut into logs when he has time. Good news: there's a seedling Rowan growing next to the dead tree!
Spent a few hours clearing leaves and sawing the thinner branches off the Rowan - they'll make good sticks for starting the log burner off when it gets cold enough.
Afternoon, finished the jewellery repairs from yesterday and experimented with heat embossing :-))
