Structure

At least there is now some structure around the lime kiln in the village. Since I last Bliped it last year in September and made some cryptic Brexit comments, nothing has happened in the UK. Where are the Brits to get their lemon slices for the evening G&T? Will they have to negotiate new trade deals to import Brazilian limes instead of Sicilian lemons? Is Britain threatened by a scurvy epidemic in April 2019?

There is actually some controversy over the restoration of the lime kiln. It remains in private hands yet the parish council seem to be paying the costs and local residents being asked to voluntarily help. This was the case on Friday when the roof tiles were delivered. Well by whatever means the tiles are now stacked on the roof and presumably with the gorgeous weather will hopefully be put in place before the snow arrives.

Luckily no hurricane Ophelia here but I did spend much of the day watching her progress towards my daughter in the northern part of the Irish Republic. Couple of calls to check up before and after - all went well but next day (posting late again) husband Barry was to be seen in a video getting to grips with an enormous tree that had been uprooted. Daughter Kate happened to post some of my photos from THE GREAT STORM OF 16 OCTOBER 1987 which I haven't seen for nearly 30 years. Will have to post them on my Blip soon.

Apert from the morning dog walk and this Blip, spent the day with a very heavy angle grinder sanding down the large concrete pillars that hold our entrance gates. Need to be restored, roofed and repainted.
