Gillipaw's Journal

Black and Blue, Yorkshire Sculpture Park

A grand day out, walking around the great estate. We really enjoyed coming across works of art, old and new, all over the place. Situated near M1, near Wakefield.

The above is by Zak Ove. "Black and Blue : The Invisible Man and the Masque of Blackness". 2016-2017. Fibreglass and Graphite.
This work seemed like a small army beside the path leading to the lake. 80 identical figures.

Storm Ophelia's strong wind didn't affect our visit here, but the sun looked like an orange ball in the sky, leaving a golden, warm glow across the water.

Not a pleasant journey on the M62, heading west. Had to slow right down. Very strong gusts of wind. Good to see family in Manchester, before moving on again.
