Goodbye

We gathered as a family, husband, children , grandchildren and great grandchildren to say goodbye to the mortal remains of my dear Mum who died on 2nd October age 94. She died at home holding my Dad's hand as they both wanted. We buried her in the graveyard of the village church in sight of the house where they have lived for almost 60 years. The minister read passages from the bible reminding us of the sure and certain  hope we have of  eternal life with Jesus which Mum was already  enjoying and the comfort he brings to those left behind. This  was a great encouragement. At their church in Cambridge we had a Thanksgiving service for Mum's life  with many grateful memories, uplifting hymns and helpful  bible talk from their minister.  How good to be together with family and friends on these occasions.
