A dank, damp, decaying sort of day

Bright, sunny, cold this was not. An air of stillness an decay. Where much of the UK was affected by the storm, in the South East is has been quiet and still.

A quick update on Landon, he was discharged yesterday and they're all at home. He had a bit of Jaundice so overnight he was under a blue lamp. It did the trick and he was given a clean bill of health by the paediatrician. They're all home as a family for the first time.

We had a few things to do on behalf of Doreen yesterday. She had a lawn treatment company in to attend to her grass which meant I was up early to be dealing with apples that needed to be removed so as they could scarify the grass and to take up her shopping.

We had to go back later to meet someone who was going to provide a quote to replace her door. We've been waiting for phone call from the insurers but true to form they hadn't rung back on Friday as they promised. I had to ring them only to find the case had not yet been put on the system. They did give us the go-ahead to find two local contractors.

We did manage to fit in a walk, which was when this shot was taken. And we both went to our respective music events in the evening. Susan to guitar and me to the Folk Club - but without ukuklele as I haven't any songs that I'm confident enough to perform.
