We are sailing!!!

The windmill in the village, built in 1804, is now back in working order having had its four sails restored and replaced. Each one is 78 feet long and 8 feet wide. An incident occurred two years ago when one of the stocks holding the sail frames broke and one of the sails came crashing down.

The new stocks are made of laminated larch, sourced in Siberia, sent to Denmark for laminating and then to the millwright in Lincoln for drilling and painting.

I have uploaded the "cats" from Sunday's trip to Linton Zoo.
