Siesta......

......under the broadleaf tree, a little snoozing, lazing in the sun and the 'old girl' having plenty to say.

I call her the 'old girl' as she's been around for years. Hubby say's she was never popular round the family home but I think she's full of character and finding myself quite liking her, perhaps she'll stay longer than the others......needless to say it was another day of photographing my late MIL's collection of tortoise's. It's a huge job, some come in families, other's are singles, some are similar, glass, wooden, clay, tiny, small, medium and large, painted or beautifully crafted all with wonderful expressions while other's are quite ugly, there's even a very fierce one which I may blip sometime.

My blip is a reminder of the task in hand......say no more.......

We have little lawn at present, it was mostly dead when we arrived home from the North Island so have recently scarified it and sown seed. Fingers crossed it will take although the starlings, blackbirds and sparrows have been having a good feed.

Saturday......weather was mostly pleasant after a foggy start, no rain must still be on it's way.

Happy Saturday folks :)
