Better

This afternoon's weather was definitely better than the lashing rain earlier but you can see the clouds still haven't given up! Unusually, there were swans on the oyse; I wonder if they are Whoopers (plenty of Mutes live and breed up here) as I was told they were spotted flying over a few days back. I've enlarged the blip in extras but I doubt my phone camera will help ID them!
A VERY lazy start (the weather didn't encourage us) with a VERY lazy Poppydog; LH made the most of uninterrupted time with the internet. Then a wander to a favourite walk only to discover its start has been uninvitingly enclosed and contained quite a few cows in a smallish area - not encouraging for walkers with a dog at ALL. So unwelcoming and frankly, p****d me off deeply.
Managed a truncated beach walk instead and back to a local cafe for soup and coffee (another extra) then home to more essential gardening; some Alchemilla had overwhelmed a rock garden created last June and had to move. By the time that was done and we'd checked out our 'woodland' planting the light had gone. So beautiful, slightly misty light today - plenty of moisture around!
