Minna

11.6C and bright with good sunny spells. Thriugh the night an up til mid afternoon we have had WNW/NE winds with speeds to 37 mph and gusts to 51 mph. Only beginning to ease late this afternoon.

Grocery shopping.

Apothecary7 wanted to collect some teasels on their stems for a big West German pottery vase we have on the turn of the internal stairs, so rather than go for a beach walk we drove round to New Orleans. On the way I stopped to grab this shot of the fishery protection vessel Minna, which was in the loch near the NATO refuelling jetty.

Teasels were collected from the back of the rocky beach near New Orleans then we walked back along the road to the car park at the Doirlinn. Interesting walking when directly into the wind. We turned at the 2 mile milestone and went back for the car. Home for lunch. The teasels are in our stone outhouse to make sure they are thoroughly dried.

Later Apothecary7 was experimenting with a lino cut for printing.
Van Morrison was accompanying the printing.
