Davaar Island, the Channel Markers, and the Beacon

11.7C with sunny sunshine all day with a few clouds. Moderate E/ESE breeze.

After lunch Maeve the Deerhound and I went for the repeat of our usual morning walking route across the road and round to the park and the harbour and back along through town.

Once Maeve was back home and settled I went for a walk. Jean Michel Jarre (Oxygene) then classical music on the theme of seascapes on the Clip. I went out Low Askomill to the old shipyard and kept going out the North shore path past Baraskomel farm and out as far as the gate before the last stretch to Macringan's point where I turned round and came back. There was only one small boat out there today. A little creel boat.

Other things I saw today:
The boats are all gone from the moorings in the loch near the yacht club.
BBS Surf was gone and a smaller red ship was at the new quay.
Only a few fishing boats were in the harbour.
A butterfly out on the North shore path.
Some flowers in bloom on the Gorse, with that lovely heady vanilla/coconut smell lingering in the sheltered parts of the walk where the path runs between the bushes.
Not many seabirds.

On the way back I walked round the esplanade to the harbour and came back home through town.

Afternoon music ... Otis Redding, Dock Of The Bay. The Blues Brothers, Briefcase Full Of Blues and The Original Soundtrack to the movie.
