Copley Bridge Toll Bar House

A windy but dry afternoon - although much colder - and a walk through the village of Copley (nr Sowerby Bridge). This is the Toll Bar House situated on the far side of the River Calder.    The board shows the  toll charges are dated 1833 and bears  the initials BWKD - B. W. Kennett-Dawson, who was owner of the surrounding estate.  It is now a private house.  My extra is a close-up of the toll charges.
