Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

the grey float

You were spared the traditional blip of taking the grey rowing float out of the water this year!   :-)  Because we left too early this summer and didn’t have a crew to do it.   The neighbor across the bay where we had dinner last night had a huge crew over the Canadian thanksgiving weekend when we were in Scotland so he said he’d have lots of help and would just do it for us.   How nice is that?   Well, not so much.  Turns out the other neighbors (the near dock where we went for dessert today) did most of the helping, not the guests.     I’m very grateful!    But thought I’d blip it anyway from the beach on a sunny day where we went to pick up the lines and tools. Can’t leave it in the water all year as too much grows on it..mostly mussels.   The tree with still a few leaves is a Gerry Oak, a lovely tree we are encouraging more of on the island.

It’s now going to be very quiet here this week….!  and hopefully creative….
