On the way home

The sun was shining as we said goodbye to Meena and Chris , the owners of the cottage we were staying in and live next door.
The sun beams were shining down the the silhouettes of the Cuillin, a rainbow appeared over the Macloed tables. The roads were quiet, we stopped at Broadford for a bacon roll and cuppa.
Beautiful views over Loch Carron, a field of young stags had gathered on the edge of some trees, Highland cattle grazed in front of a large White House with the hills behind a golden brown.
On to Sheildaig where we stopped to look for the sea eagles. An otter surprised us, completely hidden among the seaweed the same colour as it's coat. We watched it return to the water, go fishing and then return to it's holt for a rest and disappearing out of sight.
We had a delicious lunch in the Sheildaig bar. I had the seafood platter, so fresh and so much of it, really good value.
We walked back to the car, looking at the top of the Island for the birds and there it was.Just one flying high.
A wonderful drive through Torridan mountains. We saw the Edinburgh to Rome cars doing the NC500.
