Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral

Crypt design - Sir Edwin Lutyens, foundation stone laid in 1933.

Sanctuary design - Sir Frederick Gibberd. Consecrated in May 1967.

A very wet day. We really enjoyed visiting the Roman Catholic cathedral. Quite a contrast to the Anglican one along the road. Again, modern arts and crafts integrated into the space. A more peaceful, contemplative place, with the recurring theme of "Reconciliation".

From here, to the Tate Modern, down at Albert Docks. A exhibition of Lichtenstein's work, and items from the permanent collection.

We found The Fab Four (extra image), at the Pier Head, near the Liver Building. Had to see something of The Beatles whilst here. A Bronze by Andy Edwards, December 2015.

Enjoying many architectural styles, and public artwork in this city.
