Success

This sunflower seeded itself several months ago. There were a couple of others but they succumbed to the winds we had earlier in the year. This one I staked and tried a bit harder to protect. It's growing through a patch of cosmos which is maybe helping it a bit. Anyway, in late October, it's suddenly flowering and quite pretty it is too. This morning's drizzly rain is finally abating and I can tell the sun's struggling to break through. I've had a domestic morning. The postie brought a lovely card and present from one of my good friends. Thoughtful, well chosen and very much appreciated.
