Windsurfing

After a morning visit to mum and a sustaining bowl of soup in Juniper Green we drove up to good old Thriepmuir for a walk. Walked past Bavelaw Castle and as far as the track over the hill to Glencorse but it was a bit too muddy for a fair weather walker. Back to the reservoir itself to watch this chap windsurfing. He had the whole expanse of water to himself and a fair breeze so he looked as if he was having a good time. I only saw him tumble once and then he quickly recovered. It must be perishingly cold in that water and I don't think it's my idea of fun. But the trees were looking wonderful and there was plenty of bird life around and that, as well as the chance to see the hills etched against the blue sky, pleased me.

Back home and the sun's still shining. Also pleasing.
