Pumpkin School!

It's the final week of an 8 week half term and the children are so tired, so what shall I do to keep them engaged and eager to write, do maths and so on I thought to myself.

The children in my class absolutely adore all things Halloween and therefore all of our learning this week is based on the pumpkin! I asked each child to bring in a pumpkin today which will remain in school all week. I had spares for those who were unable to get on and therefore everybody had one upon arrival this morning. They were very excited! Today they've written a piece of descriptive writing about their pumpkin and began looking at the life cycle of a pumpkin.
