Sparrow Hawk

Whilts Mrs BB went to meet some friends for a coffee, I headed to Forest Farm, Coryton, Cardiff, for a couple of hours in the hide to see what birds I could spot. It was a relaxing couple of hours chatting and watching the rain. There wasn't much activity but I did spot a Sparrow Hawk hiding in the tree about two hundred feet away that was there for a while. He was obviously waiting to prey on something and was happily preening himself whist he waited.

This evening it was back to Llandough Hospital, an hour drive through the evening rush hour traffic, to visit my mum. She's a touch of pneumonia and it's looks like earliest release date will be Wednesday.
