Conkers and Chinese Lanterns

Feeling rather better today, but not yet 100%. Despite this we managed a walk this morning then came back to do battle with the Ikea furniture in the studio. Finished the benches and started work on the storage, coming to a full stop on an Ekat double cupboard. We couldn't get the last side to slide in and clip together whilst the backing sheet was in place. We gave up in the end as I'd already broken one of the locking pegs. Looking later on YouTube didn't offer any help either, the demonstrators made it seem so easy and quickly pass by that crucial bit as it wasn't a problem.

The highlight of the day was a FaceTime with Chris and Landon. This was the first time we've seen him in the flesh as it were. He's a lovely little boy. Throughout the time we were talking he was so contented, lying in his recliner, sleeping, kicking, moving his arms, opening his eyes (one of the rare times we've seen him with his eyes open). He's feeding well and looking super and not causing them too many challenges yet. Long may that continue.

Today's blip is in the conservatory, one of Susan's creative displays for autumn; conkers we've collected and Chinese Lanterns that she's grown. Very colourful on a dram, mizzley day.
